Morning Here in Australia!
Its Monday here and My children have gone BACK to school! Whoo hoo. LOL Holidays are officially over.
Not that I mind them home, I am just anticipating all the work I will get done now, with my free time!
That said.....I did not post the new Palette yet from The Color Room.
So I will do that.....and share the Page I did for it this week.
So the Palette.
The Last of the Megs Garden Palettes, this one is really pretty too!
Aren't the papers lovely.....drop in on Megs Garden HERE
The sketch looks like this close up....
and the card.....
and this week I actually used the sketch!!! LOL
This photo s an old one of my sister and I going back a few years now!!!
I created this for a Shimmerz Post also....so its done double duty this past week. Check out the Video I made for the Shimmerz VLOG
I enjoyed creating this one. Relatively fast and painless!!! LOL Not so with everything I create I am afraid!!!
Here is a Page share. It is created with the Megs Garden Palette and Shimmerz Paints.
It does double duty this time (TCR and the Shimmerz Blog!!!)
It was lovely working with Megs Garden Papers. They are all vintage and beautiful! Very elegant.
I grunged mine up this time with white paint and two colours of Pearlz Paints (Papa Purple and Blue into town.) Which went very nicely with the palette and the papers.
1. I added white paint nice and thick with a credit card
2. I added some drips with a wash of the same paint
3. I dipped a lid into some blue into town pearlz that I painted onto my craft sheet in a little puddle, then painted in the centres to make nice circles (I did a couple of Papa Purple ones too)
4. I splattered some Papa Purple over the top as well
5. I painted any embellishments (tickets in this case) to match with what was left over on my craft sheet. I used my fingers so it was a bit streaky
Then I layered all the other embellishments together.
These are come cute pictures my friend Miranda took of her DD, My DD and Janines DD. So cute to see them all together like this, they are usually much too busy (or we are....) to stop and get them posing at once!!!! Glad Miranda got it!!
Ok.....off to go and work on the mornings release....with another gorgeous Megs Garden Palette.....
Hi there, again.
I am catching up on my blog.
I am just getting over the Christmas Crazy which inevitably occurs in our household each year. We are trying desperately to scale back and start sooner and all the rest.....I should make it my NY Resolution! But I keep breaking those!!!! LOL....Maybe this year.
Happy new year!
I happened across this post by Bethany Kartchner.....She did an interview with Stacey McElyea the owner of Shimmerz Paints......If you want to have a little read about the Company- go take a look. I design for Stacey on both the Education Team and the Design Team and there was a lot I didn't know about her Company here. I did know it before, but I am very proud to represent Shimmerz Paints! Thanks for Sharing this Bethany!
Oh yes....and today is the day Debbi Launches her new Colour Inspiration Site CSI, Color, Stories Inspiration. Very exciting! We have a sister site! I have been lucky enough to get some sneak peeks to both her first Challenge and her site and it does look exciting! All the Best for your Launch Debbi. I am sure there will be many who will be inspired by your cook challenges.....and yes.....be prepared to be Challenged!
If only I had more time!!!!! :-)
Ok....should go and do something! I have been frantically making a sweet mini album, (which is getting ginormous, mind you....not so mini at all!!!!) for my Grandma who has her 90th Birthday on Sunday. I have made it with an upcoming Palette using an upcoming Sponsors Paper collection (which will be for February) So I can't share for a while. I might be able to show a sneaky pic or two.....hee hee!
Have a lovely Weekend all!
Our Sponsor this month Is MEGS GARDEN......and she generously donated some packs of her new release for the Desig Team to play with and for some RAKS to give away at the end of the month. All you have to do to have a chance at winning is to play along, upload before the next release and stay close to the Palette.
So the Palette looks like this for January's first. Gorgeous and Vintage-y!
And the Sketch......
and the card sketch which goes with it!!!
So with that......Have fun creating this week and be sure to upload to The Color Room.
