Yesterday's effort!

My Mum is down for the week....so we are scrapping.  John took the kids to School and Kindy for me....leaving me with the entire day free for creating!!!  Bliss!

Kindy-Girl-
Mykenzie affectionately refers to Kindy as "Kindy-garden"  It's so much fun there...it must be like a garden!

I enjoyed making these little guys.  I stamped the paper first using a variety of background stamps and pink ink, then pieced the little birds together.  Black rhinestones brought them to life.

OK....There is a new challenge up on the Color Combo's Blog .......here I go  (again!!!LOL)

Wednesday...

I have had a bit of a creative 'stint'.  I entered a DT competition, but only made the short list....so these are my entries.  I used spellbinders scallop circle dies to make the flower.  The backing piece and the scrunched centre of the flower is actually cut from aloevera tissues.

....nother one

The new colour combos challenge.  This one actually was a challenge.  Not exactly my colours!

No-easy-task

I did enjoy playing with these little Maya Road chipboard houses
 Textural-NET

The colours were yellow, teal, orange and Vanilla.....I had fun even if I only had 1 sheet of yellow cardstock and 2 or 3 orange/yellow sheets of Printed Paper in my stash.....I managed!!!

Quick Link....

Just a quick one for something I saw this morning, that I found interesting.  It may be handy!             Colours pallete Generator   it is for finding the perfect colours in an image for web design I believe....but also extremely handy for a scrapper.  You enter your photo you want to scrap (you need to resize less than 1100k first) then the generator gives you a pallete of all the light shades, medium shades and dark shades that are in your photo or image!  Mmmm.

Some Layouts......

Well...I know....blogging again within a week.  I have got some more pages to share!  It's much easier to post regularly when You have stuff to post!!!

This one was a little difficult to do.  I got to the journaling part and had to keep leaving it....When a tear fell onto my page...I knew I needed to get up and do something else!  I have never scrapped anything about my baby sister, and while it is not totally on her (like I will attempt someday) it was quite emotional.  Mykenzie is named after Nerae ( Middle name)

The-Jacket
journaling reads.....

When we put it one one morning getting ready for church, I had to blink back tears. You were the same age she was when she died and she was the last to wear it 25 years ago.  You looked so cute in it, as I know she did.  She would have loved you.  The Jacket is in pristine condition, held gently and stored carefully until the day another little girl could slip it over her shoulders.  The adults around look on with sentiment in their eyes....a tear here and there, remembering the little girl it was bought for.  You are oblivious to the emotion we feel, for you...It's warm, and it has fluff!!

Web

This one was a part of a 3 project class taught at Scrapbook Station  I scanned and copied the actual plans to our house and printed it onto the background.  It is a good record to have.

Well...For once, I plan to go and actually do some scrapping instead of spending so much time loking at it online!!!  Denver and Mykenzie are at school and kindy....I am home alone (still gettting used to that!) Perfect conditions for being creative.  Here I go.......

Fun Colour challenge Blog

I have been visiting a blog Janine put me onto, fairly frequently lately.  It is a colour combinations Challenge blog, and is aptly named Color Combos Galore- (requiring none of the afore mentioned explanation!!!)  I did not think it was something for me when I saw Janine whip out a plethora of layouts
(Man that girl is prolific)  when I was struggling to get even one done!  Anyway long story short...I joined and did my first challenge....IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN.  Had to wait days for the next challenge....and I did another!  I am really enjoying it.  I thought I would find it really difficult, when I spend so much time choosing the right colours when I start a new LO....But so far it is really working for me.  I am sold....I am a fan.....And I have even gone back through the first 108 challenges to see if I could find one I missed that I would enjoy doing ( I did)  Well anyway....this LO is the first one I attempted  Using olive green, poinsietta ( red) black and cream.
Jan-010
The next was yellow, brown, cream and mint green ( which turned out a bit blue)  Honestly it's not my favourite, but I love the memory.  It was the first time I could see so clearly something Denver had made.  I was blown away, he did a really good job of wall-e!

Anyhow....that's it for tonight.  I really should get to uploading some new stuff....
Night all.....
